Hello, I am Sophia
A project manager, a parent, and an expat living in Springfield, United States.
Several years ago, I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually became a new chapter of life overseas.
How It Began
Moving to United States wasn’t in the master plan. Like many international relocations, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far larger.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, new routines, fresh expectations. Everyday chores felt more complex than expected.
The Adjustment Phase
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning by doing. Yet gradually, routines took shape. We found places that suited us, met other families, and began building something that felt steady.
Why I Created PineGroveCircle
The majority of online information was either corporate relocation guidance or superficial tourism material. What was missing was a truthful, everyday family perspective.
This site exists to bridge that gap — practical guidance drawn from real life in United States.
What This Site Does (And Doesn’t)
This site IS:
- Hands-on experience from living in United States
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated when substantive changes occur
This site ISN'T:
- A resource for tourism authorities
- A paid-review platform
- A generic travel blog
Looking Forward
Our stay in United States continues, and the learning journey goes on. As long as the information remains helpful, I’ll keep recording what we learn.
If you have questions about family life in Springfield or anywhere in United States, don’t hesitate to contact me.
Best regards,
Sophia
